The Somaiya Foundation, USA

The Somaiya Foundation USA was born from a simple idea – to establish a conduit to connect U.S. Alumni & individuals to the Somaiya family of institutions and widen the reach and impact of what Somaiya stands for. Founded on February 16th, 2022 & rooted in the legacy of Padma Bhushan K.J. Somaiya, the Foundation brings Somaiya’s values of knowledge, service, and compassion to alumni, education and research institutions, family and friends in the U.S.

Our Purpose

We exist to connect, collaborate, and contribute toward advancing the Somaiya mission across borders.

Foster Community: Provide networking opportunities for U.S.–based students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Somaiya institutions.

Build Partnerships: Strengthen relationships between individuals and organizations in the U.S. and the Somaiya ecosystem in India.

Advance Philanthropy: Develop and manage charitable giving for educational, research, and humanitarian initiatives within the Somaiya network.

Empower Education: Support students, faculty, and programs across Somaiya institutions to enhance learning and global engagement.
